Jewson

To highlight the risks when working in the busy depot, Pan 3Sixty were commissioned to create a training virtual tour to promote Health & Safely in the workplace. The end result formed part of a health and safety display at the Jewson Live Show.

Photographed at the Jewson depot in Leamington Spa, we worked closely with a Health & Safety advisor from Jewson to compose a 360° panorama that encompassed all the potential risks that needed highlighting. Once the composition was finalised, equipment and vehicles were moved into place and staff were briefed as to how the shoot would proceed.

Photographing a depot during opening hours on a normal working day, we were conscious to minimise any interruption to the business, whilst ensuring all the requirements of the brief were met. Through careful planning beforehand and liaising closely with staff on site, the photography was created with minimal interference.

Whilst in post production, we again worked closely with Jewson stakeholders to design, brand and create a custom user interface for the 360° panorama, incorporating pop-up information points to highlight the potential hazards and promote best practice in the workplace. Finally, the tour was optimised for display on a 98” touch screen.

The finished training virtual tour was such a success at the Jewson Live Show, an online version was subsequently created for Jewson to use as part of their day to day Health & Safety training program. In addition being used as a training tool in the class room, staff are also encouraged to refer back to the virtual tour as and when required.

360° VR version

For an even more immersive experience, we created a VR version of the 360° panorama that places the viewer in the ‘virtual depot’. The panorama is specifically tailored for viewing on the Oculus Go headset and can be viewed by clicking here when viewing this page on the Oculus web browser.
